Finally for now, we are focused on fire fighters at the moment as people who help us. The children have visited the fire station, had Since we’ve been back to nursery after the summer holidays, it has been an incredibly busy and exciting time at the nursery. At the start of September, the guide dogs visited the nursery to help us understand these incredible animals. Their journey from puppy to working guide dog involves many people and lots of hard work and training. The guide dogs ensure people who are blind or partially sighted have the same freedom of movement as everyone else. This was a fantastic day which everyone REALLY enjoyed. We were all really excited about the visit and really appreciated the guide dog team (and dogs) taking the time to visit us.
The preschool room visited the library to see their hard work on display. The display followed the theme in the room and this great work by the preschool room demonstrated their creativity and imagination! Well done!
The Baby Room recently enjoying fun and games in the ball pit. Not only great fun for the children, but also fantastic for their coordination! This was another great example of the children learning through play.
We also worked hard at our Harvest Festival Collection. A massive thank you to all the parents who generously contributed towards the Collection. Also a huge thanks to Morrisons who also contributed to the hamper. Claire from the Ambleside Residential Care Home, along with Margaret and Marjorie, came along to the nursery to collect the Hamper. We were also treated to some fantastic traditional songs from the children which our visitors thoroughly enjoyed taking part in. Well done everyone!
We are having Funky Pumpkin Competition. We have had some amazing entries this year and picking the winner will be challenging. To further the Halloween them we are also having the “Witches and Wizards” fancy dress. What a great time of year this is!
Fireman Woody visit us who was incredibly popular and are due to have a fire engine and the fire fighters visit the nursery (many thanks to Fireman Woody and the fire fighters bringing the fire engine, they are really valuable, educational and fun sessions for the children). Wow!
