Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea

We were delighted to invite selected parent's (names pulled out of a hat) for an afternoon tea. We all enjoyed a selection of sandwiches and cakes and it was a great opportunity to have a catch up with one another.

We hope all our Mummy’s had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

This morning Preschool went on a signs of spring walk!

During our adventure we explored our local environment including the racecourse. The children reflected on their past experiences of the races when we were lucky enough to watch the horses in motion last year. We discussed the differences in the environment and how the horses came from different places and don’t stay at the racecourse all the time.

The children used great observational skills, finding the first signs of spring on their walk including:

🌼 Finding daffodils

🌼 Blossom on the trees

🌼 Looking at crocuses

🌼 Listening to sounds of nature

Autumn Walk!πŸπŸ‚

Following on our topic of being healthy, this afternoon the preschool children have enjoyed a walk in our local environment. We displayed all our knowledge of how to keep safe when out including:

🍁 Walking Feet

🍁 Holding Hands

🍁 Good Listening

🍁 Good Looking

🍁 Waiting For The Green Light

🍁 Looking At Road Signs

(Road Safety Week is planned for 02/10/23, so we will explore this more then!)

The children said good afternoon to local people, including pedestrians, teachers, cycling proficiency people, fire fighters, an ice cream man and elderly people in their homes. We also discussed the changes that we could see in our environment, and investigated different natural objects with magnifying glasses.

A trip to the races! 🐎
This afternoon Preschool were very lucky to take a short walk in our local environment to Stratford Racecourse

The children were lucky enough to observe a race and even chose their favourites to win. We spoke about the rules of racing, how to stay safe and why the jockeys wear different colours.

We would like to thank Stratford-Upon-Avon racecourse for being so welcoming to our children, they all had a lovely time. We are so grateful for the opportunity to show children something they may not have experienced before.

β€œRUN RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN, YOU CANT CATCH ME IM THE GINGERBREAD MAN!!”

This week Preschool have been learning all about the traditional story the gingerbread man.

We have been busy all week engaging in different activities including, ginger playdough, designing our own gingerbread person, baking our own gingerbread and learning where ingredients originate, making predictions and changing the story.

Today preschool received a letter, which included pictures of our very own cheeky gingerbread person. The children looked at the clues and found him having a snooze after his adventures!
